Jejuri – A golden temple near Pune

Jejuri is a town near Pune, which is famous for most popular deities in Maharashtra, Khandoba. The temple is situated on a hill top around 54Kms from Pune and around 200Kms from Mumbai. The place offers a picturesque view of the surrounding from a height of around 758 mtrs from sea level. The temple is very huge and dates back to 1688. There are 385 steps to reach at the top of Jejuri. Nearby to this temple is another temple of Khandoba on Kadepathar.
